It is nice reading your blog. Thanks a lot for reviving my old memories! though staying away from b’lore now, I have been very much attached to malleswaram. i studied in malleswaram (govt. boys high school, opp. 18th cross bus stand). i wonder whether this high school still exists? I shall be glad if a photo of this school is put on your blog or sent to my mail .

Hi Poornima ! Initially what led me to you now, is Admiral O.S.Dawson, who was my mentor and good friend when I was running my NGO-HAPPY HEARTS as I was the Founder / Director. ( I DO NOT KNOW IF HE WILL REMEMBER ME BECAUSE MY INTERACTION WITH HIM WAS VERY BRIEF BUT ALL THE SAME HE IS A WONDERFUL PERSON )
Now I am based in California, Orange since 2007. I am a Teacher and Counselor here. You are indeed a very interesting person and a soical-activist in your own right if I may say so in appreciating the feelings and sentiments of others in their nostalgia ! Could you please furnish me the Phone No. of Admiral Dawson as there is a need to speak to him in the interest of an American Student here who wants to know about Foreign Affairs in general and what does an Ambassadors/High Commissioners jobs entail. do that…I loved reading ur Up in the Air section(ironically watched the movie again yest!) – i should say i can share a few sentiments too…
and my worst experience has to be US immigration!!
u should do a section on airport chairs- Which has been the best or worst transit? I found Dubai to be comfy…u can lie with a book while waiting for the flight home to India …(if u find one!) or the bumpy, hardback..cant get comfy…cold chairs in heathrow..while i wait for the morning bus/train to return north?!
