You have a lovely blog Poornima. Meandered in from Citizen Matters. Something about a Software techie ditching a cushy job to pursue writing struck a chord. Add Bangalore(specifically south!), food and good writing ; what’s not to like ? The ‘Portfolio’ page is a goldmine. Sampled a few, will come back for seconds and thirds later.

Madhu,
Thanks for the lovely feedback. You’ve inspired me to revive my posts (something that I’ve kept postponing). I quite liked your website too; the content is as the Maggi adline says – ‘quite different’ – from a news portal.

Hi Poornima,
Read your article abt Magadi Beliyo Ranga temple. Me and my family are planning to visit it. Can you tell me on which route it is and which is the best route to take.
Thanks
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,
Take the Magadi road – road leading you from Vijaynagar Toll Gate towards Magadi. It leads you out of the town cutting across nice & outer ring road. You can alternatively take the Mysore road that leads you towards Magadi & Savandurga. Magadi is around 40 km from the city. As you enter the town limits, take the first right – the road leads you to the temple. There is also an arch at the lane entrance that displays the temple name. You could also visit the Savan durga hills nearby. If you are going by car, it takes another 30 minutes to drive up the Kari betta. Have a good trip.
